As a hosted gateway service, SASS!-for-Business is a non-invasive solution. And you can rest assured that SASS!-for-Business will not become an obsolete investment or require the additional purchase of periodic updates like those required of software products. Built into the SASS! solution are continuous, in some cases hourly, updates to address the very latest global spam, spoof, and email-borne virus trends.

SASS!-for-Business is much more than a box solution, and it’s unmatched at spam detection and blocking. We use your existing email solution and need only to modify your DNS mail records so your email passes through our gateway for filtering before it arrives in your system.
During the filtering process, first your email must pass several basic sender authentication checks. Once mail is received from a verified mail server, it passes through spam checks and real-time black lists. SASS! also employs commercial spam firewall technology that initiates Bayesian/Heuristic scanning.
Since the classification of spam is so individualized, smart technology allows SASS! to work with a personalized approach by learning individual user thresholds for classifying email as spam or not spam. Users can customize individual settings, and can even control their own white/black lists as an additional purchased option.
Another additional option is quarantining. If this option is purchased and quarantining is selected, email that would normally be blocked is marked for quarantine and held on SASS! servers for future inspection by users.
Since we do not host your email, it is not stored on our systems. For our small business customers (1-10 users) who purchase SASS!, we do provide free hosting services and free domain registry if needed. The web interface for user customization is SSL secured for privacy. Mail is scanned and delivered to a hosted mailbox that can be checked with HTTP and POP3. The mailbox also supports SMTP for sending email.
For safeguarding against the very unlikely event we would have a complete system failure and our servers would be unreachable, your mail is governed by redundant systems and automatically would go to your mail server without filtering. Although this unlikely scenario would temporarily allow all email, including spam, to reach your users, this feature assures that you have continuous access to your mission-critical communications.
